Who I am.

I grew up in Glasgow’s west end, but have lived on the south side for 16 years. My favourite time of year is Spring, but my favourite light is that evocative early Autumn low sun that creates amazing warmth and dramatic shadows. I love shooting into the sun and making the most of that gorgeous flare. I’d like to live next to the sea someday. I'm constantly amazed at the new things my toddler daughter can do. I like taking off in the car for impromptu road trips. I try to be an ethical consumer and I'm always on the hunt for great cruelty-free products. I love a good pop song. I love to cook. I love looking at old photographs and spotting family resemblances. I love old buildings, especially when there’s a really old, faded shop sign on them. I don’t enjoy the gym. I prefer to walk in the fresh air. I’ve been photographing professionally for 12 years, but completed a BA (Hons) in Photography in 2014. I’m really chuffed with my First Class Honours award.

What I do.

I love photographing people. I started my career in photography shooting gigs, and getting myself on tours whenever I could. Being in bands, this was a natural start for me. It nurtured my passion for documenting what I see around me, keeping things natural and striving to capture the uniqueness of each person, or group of people, that I photograph. I've carried this ethos with me, and apply it to everyone I work with, from families to musicians, community groups to wedding couples and everyone in between. If this appeals to you and you'd like to work with me, please get in touch!
